There have been massive inroads in the numbers of people who are now prioritising making a Will, according to new research seen in the UK Wills & Probate Consumer Research Report 2025.
It is estimated that almost half of adults in the United Kingdom have a Will, though Will making solicitors in North Wales would still urge those who do not have one to take steps to undertake their end of life planning.
Despite the promotion of responsible asset planning in the event of death, there are still several misconceptions about the process, which accounts for the numbers of people without this essential document. For example, there is a high percentage of individuals who think that all Will-writing services are fully compliant with all regulations. This is untrue however, and in the UK, solicitors are still the only professionals who are fully regulated to carry out this service.
Homemade Wills are also considered by many as appropriate alternatives to using Wills solicitors in North Wales. However, more often than not, these sorts of Wills can contain mistakes or cannot be validated, so disputes and confusion may occur as a result. Many younger people still believe that Wills are only needed by older people. This is not necessarily the case; if they have any assets, they may need to consider their wishes while they can, no matter their age.
