An annual survey has just been published that gives a snapshot of the attitudes towards Will making in the UK.
The UK Wills and Probate Consumer Research Report 2025 showcases details about Will making, and solicitors in Porthmadog can use these details to work with their clients better.
Some of the findings of the report have shown that, although in previous years there was little or no change to the numbers of people who made a Will, in 2025, there was a notable increase. The use of Will writing services and other associated legal support has also grown. It was also interesting to note that an almost equal number of people were under the misapprehension that all Will writing providers were regulated by the legal system. Donations to charities in Wills has declined slightly, but continues to have a strong presence.
It was also revealed that almost a quarter of people going through the probate system have experienced delays, but most found the overall system easy enough to navigate. Will writing solicitors in North Wales understand that most people ready to write their Will approach legal firms that they are familiar with, rather than using ones which they know nothing about. They also prefer legal services that can offer additional support for matters such as lasting power of attorney and inheritance tax planning.
